Brooke Burke studied business advertising and broadcast journalism at Santa Monica College and UCLA. She is French/Irish on her father's side, Portuguese/Irish on her mother's side. She was raised by mother and stepfather, Armen Hartounian. She was voted the 10th Sexiest Woman in the World by Stuff magazine's readers. (January 2002) .Her daughter, Neriah, was named after her friend Neriah Davis. She is close friends with Neriah Davis and Nikki Schieler Ziering; they have modeled together in catalogs and magazines. She was Voted in at #24 in FHM's Sexiest Girls of 2002 poll, American edition, up from #99 in the 2001 poll. Again she was voted in at #25 in FHM's Sexiest Girls of 2002 poll, UK edition. (May 2002) .It is said that while accompanying a high school friend to a modeling agency in Scottsdale, Arizona, Brooke was discovered by a talent scout who happened to be there. Her stepfather used to park his car in front of the side door of the house to keep Brooke from sneaking out at night!
